Lego shops in Russia shut down after provides dry up

COPENHAGEN – Toymaker Lego’s Russian reseller stated on Friday it was briefly “freezing” a few of its shops in Russia after sanctions imposed on Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine hit its provide community.

“Provides of Lego in Russia have been briefly suspended, and we proceed to function solely on native shares. In reference to this, we’re briefly freezing the work of some shops,” the native reseller stated in an e mail to purchasers seen by Reuters.

Lego stated in March that it was pausing shipments to Russia given the extreme disruption brought on by the battle in Ukraine.

The corporate has 81 shops in Russia, that are operated by Ingenious Retail Group.
